To Our Church, Community Members, Friends, and Family: 

Our deepest thanks for your support, participation, donation, and all you did to make EHCY’s inauguration and celebration of Eyob’s life a truly special and memorable occasion! You all are the backbone of EHCY, and ALL of this is possible because of you and only you! 

A special thank you to our own Virgin Mary Ethiopian Orthodox Cathedral for all your spiritual support and for allowing us to use your banquet hall and all its amenities. 

The inauguration and fundraising event would not have been successful without the board and committee members endless participation from setting up tables and chairs, decorating, preparing snacks, selling fundraising products from t-shirts to coffee mugs and hats, not to mention lottery and raffle tickets. It’s truly a blessing to have such dedicated board and committee members.    

 To Our Speakers: 

We are enormously grateful to all our speakers. Your willingness to share your time and expertise on the subject of cardiomyopathy, and for delivering astonishingly effective presentations, both in English and Amharic. Your contribution to this event helped magnify the core missions of EHCY and created much needed awareness about this silent and deadly disease. 

EHCY’s Inauguration and Fundraising Goals: 

As we headed into EHCY’s inauguration and our first fundraising event, there were so many uncertainties surrounding COVID-19, the possible return of social distancing making a face-to-face event impossible, and much more.  Yet, we knew we had the support of our beloved community and friends, and more importantly God, so we proceeded to set our goal.  We felt whatever happened would be fine, and whatever God provided would be sufficient.  With great humility, we are pleased to say that we are on track to meet and even exceed our goal.
